Simple Strawberry Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 pint strawberries, sliced (about 2 cups salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • BISCUIT TOPPING:
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Mazola® Corn Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. For Filling: Combine sugar and corn starch in a 1 to 1.5-quart casserole. Add strawberries and lemon juice; toss to coat.
  3. For Biscuit Topping: Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Stir milk and oil into flour mixture until a soft dough forms.
  4. Drop biscuit topping in 4 mounds on top of filling.
  5. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until fruit is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Serve warm.
