This tilapia recipe with sautéed vegetables and spices is a deliciously simple meal anyone can make. It's the perfect dish to make dinner a breeze any night of the week.

Tilapia Fish with Sautéed Veggies

Ingredients

  • 1 pound tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Mazola® Corn Oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1 zucchini, sliced into rounds
  • 1 yellow squash, sliced into rounds
  • 2 cups cauliflower
  • 2 cups broccoli
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Mix together garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, paprika and lemon pepper into a small bowl.
  2. Brush your tilapia fillets with Mazola® Corn Oil on both sides.
  3. Sprinkle about 4 teaspoons of the seasoning mixture generously on both sides of your fillets.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon Mazola® Corn Oil to a hot pan.
  5. Place your fish in the pan and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side, depending on thickness.
  6. Remove fish from pan and set aside.
  7. Add splash of Mazola® Corn Oil to a pan and add vegetables.
  8. Season with remaining seasonings mix and add chopped garlic.
  9. Mix and cook until garlic is fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  10. Then add ¼ cup of water, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  11. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 3–5 minutes.
  12. Plate the fish with the vegetables and enjoy!
