Ingredients
- For the Chicken:
- 1-1/2 tablespoon Mazola® Corn Oil
- 1-1/2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast cut into 1 inch chunks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons cumin ground
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon chipotle chile powder
- 3 tablespoons limes, juiced
- 8 each flour tortillas, grilled
- Toppings:
- 1 cup red onion, chopped
- 1 cup tomato, fresh
- 1/2 cup jalapeno, fresh
- 1 - 1/2 cups salsa
- 1 cup Avocado, thin sliced
- 1/2 cup cilantro, fresh
Instructions
- Step 1) In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Season chicken with salt and black pepper, add chicken to skillet. Cook until golden brown about 6 minutes. Add rest of spices and coated chicken, cook for another 2 to 3 minutes add lime juice and remove from the heat. Set aside.
- Step 2) Assembly the tacos:
- Step 3) Grill flour tortilla's on a medium heated grill or in a cast iron skillet over medium high heat, warm tortillas for 15 to 30 seconds on per side. When the tortillas smell toasty and have a few browned and dark spots, remove from heat.
- Step 4) Fill each tortilla with 1/4 cup cooked chicken and top with red onion, tomato, jalapeno, salsa, avocado and cilantro. Add your favorite hot sauce.
