Proscuitto Wrapped Asparagus Recipe

  • 1-1/2 pound s fresh asparagus, tough ends removed
  • 2 tablespoons Mazola® Corn Oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 ounces very thinly sliced prosciutto (about 12 to 14 slices)


  1. Step 1) Preheat grill or stove top grill pan to medium heat.
  2. Step 2) Combine asparagus, corn oil, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl, stirring to coat evenly with oil. Grill for 1 to 2 minutes per side. Asparagus should be bright green and slightly shriveled on surface.
  3. Step 3) Transfer cooked asparagus to a plate. Cool for 5 to 10 minutes or until comfortable to handle. Cut proscuitto slices in half. Tightly roll each asparagus spear with half a proscuitto slice. Arrange on serving plate and serve immediately.
  4. Serving Suggestions: Serve with thin slices of fresh cantaloupe, roasted red pepper dip or hummus.
