Ingredients
- 1/2 cup prepared mango salsa
- 1/4 teaspoon Jamaican jerk seasoning
- 1/4 cup Mazola® Corn Oil
- 8 slices country style bread
- 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 8 slices Swiss cheese, divided
- 1/3 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 1 pound thinly sliced ham or pulled pork
- 4 slices sandwich style dill pickles
Instructions
- Step 1) Pre-heat grill or skillet to medium high heat.
- Step 2) Stir mango salsa and Jamaican jerk seasoning together; set aside.
- To assemble each sandwich:
- Step 1) Brush one side of each bread slice with corn oil and spread 1/2 teaspoon mustard on the other. Place oil side down on grill or skillet. Add a slice of Swiss cheese. Top with 2 to 3 rings of red onion, 1/4 pound of ham, a pickle slice, a tablespoon of mango salsa and an additional slice of Swiss cheese. Top with a slice of bread, mustard side down.
- Step 2) Press the sandwich while ON the grill or skillet by placing a large plate or cookie sheet over sandwiches. Place a heavy object on top of plate or press down with hands.
- Step 3) Grill 3 to 5 minutes per side until browned.
