Ingredients
- 1 (7 ounce) package of star (estrellas) pasta
- ¼ onion
- 4 Roma tomatoes, halved
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 teaspoon of powdered chicken bouillon, optional
- 1 tablespoon Mazola® Corn Oil
- 4 cilantro stems
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Queso fresco, optional
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the tomatoes, garlic, onion, salt, chicken bouillon (optional), and chicken broth. Blend until smooth.
- In a pot, heat the Mazola® Corn Oil and sauté the pasta for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Pour the blended sauce over the pasta and add fresh cilantro. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, let the pasta cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until tender.
- Garnish with queso fresco, if desired, and serve.
