Ingredients

  • 1 (7 ounce) package of star (estrellas) pasta
  • ¼ onion
  • 4 Roma tomatoes, halved
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered chicken bouillon, optional
  • 1 tablespoon Mazola® Corn Oil
  • 4 cilantro stems
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Queso fresco, optional

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the tomatoes, garlic, onion, salt, chicken bouillon (optional), and chicken broth. Blend until smooth.
  2. In a pot, heat the Mazola® Corn Oil and sauté the pasta for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. Pour the blended sauce over the pasta and add fresh cilantro. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Once boiling, let the pasta cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until tender.
  5. Garnish with queso fresco, if desired, and serve.
