  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Mazola® Corn Oil
  • 1 large (8 ounces) Granny Smith OR other tart apple, peeled
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 quart fresh apple cider
  • 1 can (12 ounces) frozen cranberry juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 lemon, scrubbed
  • Bourbon OR rum, optional

  1. Step 1) Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over high heat. Add apple cubes and sprinkle with brown sugar. Cook, stirring often, until apple starts to soften and slightly brown, about 2 minutes. Place a couple of teaspoons of apple in bottom of Irish coffee mugs or other clear glass mugs.
  2. Step 2) Gently heat the apple cider, cranberry juice concentrate and lemon slices in a large saucepan until steaming. Remove from heat and serve in prepared mugs.
  3. Optional: If desired, add 1-ounce bourbon or rum to each toddy.
