How do you choose a heart healthy diet?
The American Heart Association recommends that you "Limit foods high in saturated fat, trans fat and/or cholesterol... Instead choose foods low in saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol... Choose fats and oils with 2 grams or less saturated fat per tablespoon, canola, corn, safflower, soy bean and olive oils."
Dietary factors that lower LDL cholesterol include polyunsaturated fatty acids, monosaturated fatty acids (when substituted for saturated fatty acids) and to a lesser extent soluble fiber and soy protein.

Corn Oil contains other things that are good for your heart!!
Corn oil contains plant sterols.
What exactly are sterols?
They are naturally occurring substances in plants.
What is their benefit?
The Sterols in plant oils have been shown to reduce cholesterol. Corn Oil has the highest levels of sterols of all plant oils, including canola, soy (vegetable) and olive oils.
How do sterols work?
They keep cholesterol from being absorbed by the body.
